The story follows Neku Sakuraba, a quiet and introverted teenager who awakens in the middle of Tokyo’s Shibuya Crossing with no memory of how he got there. Before he can react, he’s attacked by terrifying creatures known as the Noise—and rescued by a girl named Shiki, who claims they’re participants in something called the Reapers’ Game.
